川普在就職演講中接著說：
【行政命令揭弊打貪】
「今天我將簽署一系列具有歷史意義的行政命令，透過這些行動，我們將開始美國的全面復興和常識革命，這都是一般常識。首先，我將宣布南部邊境進入國家緊急狀態。所有非法入境將立即停止，我們將開始將數以百萬計的外國罪犯，遣返回他們來自的地方，我們將恢復我在墨西哥的留置權。我將終止抓捕和釋放，我將派遣軍隊前往南部邊境，擊退對我們國家的災難性入侵。根據我今天簽署的命令，我們還將指定這些卡特爾組織，為外國恐怖組織。」
Today I will sign a series of historic executive orders, with these actions we will begin the complete restoration of America, and the revolution of common sense. It’s all about common sense. First, I will declare a national emergency at our Southern border. If we work together, there is nothing we cannot do, and no dream we cannot achieve. Many people thought it was impossible for me to stage such a historic political comeback, but as you see today here I am. the American people have spoken.
